Nigeria music has grown over the years both in size and quality, artists spring up from every corner of the country and our record labels has been helpful with their music.
The battle of the best record label was a tough one last year between DMW and Mavins, while Starboy and YNBL were lacking a bit behind them.
Undoubtedly, these labels are still the top label presently in Nigeria and it hard to say which will be the best this year.
YBNL
YBNL was found by indigenous rapper and one of the greatest rappers in the Nigerian music industry, Olamide Adedeji also known as Badoo. He has himself, Fireboy and DJ Enimoney in the label and with these set of artists we know this year is going to be very busy for the label.
Mavins
The Nigerian based record label was founded by Award-winning music producer Don Jazzy on May 2012. This label houses top artistes like D’prince, Dr Sid, Korede Bello, Johnny Drille and Crayon, DNA and Rema. With this set of artist Mavins will definitely fight to be the best this year.
DMW
DMW is owned by Davido also know as O.B.O. DMW stands as one of the hottest record label in the country and outside Nigeria. Here is the list of the top artists signed to the label. Idowest, Dj Ecool, Yonda, Ichaba, Dremo, Perruzi, Mayorkun and the CEO Davido.
Starboy
Starboy Entertainment is one of Nigeria’s mainstream labels that keep dropping chart-topping impressive joints in the industry. Wizkid and Terri are the major Artistes on the label, and so far they have been making good music for the fans.
